What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That's some serious wear for those plugs. I found where someone compared the authentics to the counterfeits with pics. It was a while back, but I'm sure it can be found again along with others.

Yeah the minute I saw him pull the first one I said there is no way that was a real Iridium plug... every Iridium plug I have ever pulled looked like you could clean it back up and reinstall it and be fine.

On the bright side, all the plugs looked the same. Good color and nothing wet or oil fouled.

Glad to have legitimate plugs back in it. First time I have ever not used AC Delco plugs in a GM product, but I guess since NGK is the one making the Delco plugs now it's really no big deal.

I am hoping these Ruthenium plugs serve me well. Time will tell.

NGK arguably makes the best plugs out there. Most of the AC's are either NGK or ND (Denso). Do NOT use Bosch plugs in an LS engine. When I had a GTO with the LS2 we had many owners try them out and had to switch back to AC. I don't know what it is but the LS engines did not like the Bosch's.

Had my soon to be 14 yr old son change the oil and both oil filters today. Still running Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w30 but changed from Mobil 1 EP filters to the Fram Ultra Gaurd filters this time around as they are supposed to be even better than the M1 filters. I guess the next UOA will tell the tale.

He also installed the new NGK Ruthenium plugs that have been sitting on the shelf for a while. I am certainly glad he changed them because I think I ended up with a set of KNOCK OFF AC Delco Iridium plugs last go around from Fleabay.

There is no way that Iridium plugs should be wore down this much in 75k miles...

Funny thing was it still ran good without any misfires. I assume my fuel mileage should improve with the new plugs though.

The NGK Ruthenium plugs came from Rock Auto so hopefully I won't find out these are knock offs... lol

He also replaced the valve cover gasket on the drivers side valve cover today.

He installed the new/improved VC that I got from @iamdub a couple months ago but we didn't replace the gasket or bolt grommets and it was evidently leaking a little bit.

Also installed the ICT oil cooler block off plate, but forgot to get a pic of it installed.

When you compare the 2 plugs in the pic, it looks like they are different heat range from each other (longer insulator, protrusion), unless that's just the design of the ruthenium plug.

What plug # were the old plugs? 12621258 (41-110)?

Not sure when they went to the stretch to fit belts but my 2009 LTZ had it.

Maybe it started in '09. I thought it was '10. Either way, it wouldn't be on an '08 from the factory and I was starting to think that Mark's truck had the A/C or even the engine swapped out before.

That is correct... 41-110.

Not sure if it is because of the Ruthenium design or not but I definitely see that now that you mentioned it.

I changed out the stock grille, with aircraft 304 stainless steel and replaced the stock speakers, with Infinity Kappas all around! Sound dampened all doors, and replaced the window motor/regulators, while panels were off. Now going to contact https://www.tfpusa.com/ to get some stainless steel door handles, because the plastic suck!

Those stainless steel door handles are just covers FYI. They go over the plastic handles.

Replaced my rear glass lift cylinders, viola no more rattling. Go figure haha.

Planning for a tune up and fixing a leaky coolant line as well as figure out a clunking in the front end.

Removed > disassembled > cleaned > reinstalled the rear window switches... now they work going up AND down again.

Previously my kids could roll them down but not up or vice versa, can't remember off the top of my head... but they work now... saved myself $16 by not buying new ones.
