Shit breaks as they say...I think the failure rate isn’t too bad imo considering how many million times out hatches get slammed every day across the country. If it was stationary glass they probably would never fail.you would think gm would solder the dam things better after making them for 20+ years
I never use the glass... In fact, I didn't even know it existed until I had the truck for over a year. You never open the hatch either? It doesn’t matter if you open the glass or the whole rear door, when you close it, it slams down and those curled up wires bounce up and down and put a lot of stress on the tabs. Then multiply that by a few thousand times. It’s not like a normal rear glass that never moves.I never use the glass... In fact, I didn't even know it existed until I had the truck for over a year.
