since this thing is awd I am not sure on the front part, not even sure how it would come off I haven't looked that close at it yet.

there is a drive line shop here in town the guy told me just bring him the drive line and u joints and he will do it and balance it, I don't think these need balancing though. I take it these can't just be popped out and put back in
You do pound them out but you need to heat them a ridiculous amount to get the plastic fiberous material out of the groove. After that’s done you pound them out.

I’ve done all that too. Front bearings anyway (hubs), still on the original rear bearings at 170 k now. I should do those I suppose. I just did the u-joints a few weeks ago, kinda fun melting that plastic out of those.
That plastic snakes out the hole when it heats up is quite satisfying to watch. Lol

Nope, GM uses plastic to hold them in, you need to torch them until it oozes out the tiny holes and then drive the caps out. The new ones go in with clips though so in the future they’re easy. The front driveline comes out just like the rear.

are the u joints the same size in the front as the rear?

Picked up the parts for the remote trans filter.

I plan on mounting the filter on the passenger frame rail just in front of the motor. Cutting the rubber part of the supply line to the radiator cooler and running it to the filter, then using a piece of TOC hose out to a barb connector and connecting back into the line I cut.

I'm going to use the Wix 51269 hydraulic filter.

I already installed the larger trans cooler.

RockAuto lists different part numbers for front and rear drive shafts on my 2013 Denali XL.
I was just wondering because I already bought some moog for the rear a while back figured it would be easy just order 2 more if the front were the same. I think when I ordered these rear ones I went with the more popular size on rockauto I guess there is 2 different sizes
@915_Tahoe what's the oem part number for the front u-joints and the rear u-joints? I need to make sure I got the right size
