Hopefully. The clips I got in the kit weren’t tempered spring steel. That just bent and stayed bent. They were Raybestos shoes.

When I first got this truck a few years ago they didn't work. I just replaced the parking shoes and reused all the stock hardware. I got a weeping l/r axle seal so I got to go in there once a year and clean the top hat and backing plate out to keep it operational. Eventually the oil ***** the pad up and it fails. But I got 2 or 3 years out of them and they worked great and stayed adjusted so I can't complain. That's using the boat ramp a few hundred times a year at least.

I was looking at the Raybestos kit and it was 20 dollars cheaper, so I opted for the Wagner. The Wagner bolts came with loctite on them too. Raybestos didn't. At least that's what the pics show. And the Wagner kit comes with the seal boot thingy's for the cable protrusions.


Look at these pictures, clearly a difference in the hardware quality it looks like. Wagner on the bottom:

Those do look good. I guess I will see how long mine last. I only used the shoes and reused all my original hardware.

FFS I didn’t even pull the wheels off yet but I was hoping for a new style E brake. This is the same configuration as the nbs and when I went to change them the bolts snapped holding the clips to keep the shoes aligned. Never fixed it because I wasn’t pulling the axle out to drill and clean up threads. I seriously hate this design. Why can’t it be like the c4 corvette? So stupid simple and no need for extra shoes or rotating mass for the rotors. Ugh

I get that. Just a pita to fix in the north with all the rust and salt corrosion. Good thing I don’t trailer anything anymore.
