Do our radiators have the plastic end tanks that are crimped onto the ends with those aluminum tabs?

Yes they do OEM

Today did the 5th oil change since installing the 6.2

One before start up
another at 800 miles on the oil
another at 1200 miles with MM oil (trans fluid)
another at 1500 miles *** oil is still filthy***
another at 2300 miles

Oil filters done with the oil changes. I should have cracked one of the valve covers before the engine install to see what was going on under there. Was in too much of a hurry to get the engine done. Damn

Man, those crimped radiators have always been problematic with the seeping end tanks. I remember problems with those back in the early 90s. Some shops had a crimp tool and would just re-tighten the crimps on it.

Ironic... I too noticed a very very small leak that appears to be coming from the top of the driver side of the radiator end tank.

Been looking at radiators but haven't decided on which one I will go with.

It is so minor it will probably be a while.

Mine was cracked, so I went with Mishimoto. After 9 months, it's already cracked and leaking...

You looking at factory replacements or aftermarket ones? Unless there's an upgraded one (factory or aftermarket) that's a direct replacement for my factory original and for a reasonable cost, I'm just gonna get what lasted 200K miles. I haven't even begun trying to pin down a part number yet.

We're taking the Tahoe today to dinner at my brother's house 30 minutes away since we gotta haul large Christmas gifts. I'm confident it'll be fine.

I always look for upgrades when I have to replace something.

Haven't decided on one yet.

I like this one...

Little pricey but probably better quality.
