Like I said, it’s a wonderful design on GM’s part. Imagine being on the side of the road at night trying to fight that damn thing.

I had a feeling it might cause grief, but it still surprised me how it did. That’s why I wanted to do it in the garage. Lol.

I too did this in my garage as preventative maintenance rather than on the side of the road in the rain or slush in my Sunday church clothes.

Is the secondary latch only on the NNBS and up? I don’t think my 02 has it and there isn’t a spare or spare tire mech on my 08 Silverado for some reason.;)

So it does have a problem then?
:shrug: I don't know I am sure it does but maybe I am crazy, there going to put in a billet torque converter and do some work to the valve body and go thru all the clutches and see where the wear is I told him I want it sufficient for another 100hp which is what a super charger should give me.
