I don’t try to impress anyone nor do I give a **** what they think I don’t go do shows or show off I build my shit how I want to just like y’all build your shit however y’all want to

btw I’m 24 work with the army corps run my own landscaping and construction business on the side own my own house payed for my 4 vehicles on my own including my boat and 4 wheeler providing for my wife and kid on top of it on my own maybe you need to grow up and get a ******* life bro ps I don’t even drink

Why are you quoting me and bringing me into your rant? I didn't say anything to you. Also, please, try to keep your language clean here. We're a civilized group.

...BTW, bro, even if it's unintentional, temporary, and unbeknownst to you, your Tahoe clearly looks like one of them. Your raging rant isn't helping your case, either, as such a display of ****** discomfort is a classic IG fkboi squatter retort. Not calling you out, just letting you know that you come across in all aspects as something you assert that you are not.

GM’s famous secondary safety latch that likes to rust up.
What are the options? I suppose I could cut the end of the cable, but will it run back up through the other latch?

is there a key spot or two to squirt some penetrant into?

I don’t “need” it down right this minute. Original 10 year old spare. Was going to get it replaced with a new one that matched the other KO2 tires on the ground.

Every man should have at least one of these:

Soak the mechanism with penetrating oil and make sure you follow the instructions in the manual to release it using the jack and chock blocks.

Some folks have had to get a little more aggressive and remove the winch completely.

I’ll see if I can find some posts about this issue. I make sure that I drop our spare every couple oil changes to keep it functioning.
