Probably not by him.... lol

I'm just saying, maybe it can be fixed but he doesn't want to spend the time to mess with it

hey if we can teach him to check a dipstick we can teach him to fix a wire

Did you guys not hear? He’s not the tinkering kind of guy!

No more crazy aftermarket stuff for me. If it's not plug and play or super easy, I don't want it. I'm just not the tinkering kind of guy nor do I have the time.

Well I got the 6.0 broken down over the weekend. Everything in valve train was mint, almost no carbon on the pistons, BUT there was some coolant in cylinder 7 at some point.

So I'm waiting on a quote from the machine shop to see if they can just hone it out. If not I will have it punched out to a 6.2 and use OEM LSA pistons; or if the price is right it might morph into a 408ci :naughty:

I'll also have the heads tanked and cleaned up too.

Is there some pitting in that cylinder? Was there a leak in the headgasket? Or 1 starting? How can you tell there was coolant at 1 time in it? Just curious.

Vary mild pitting, so mild that the leak down test was good. BUT I'm OCD and honestly gives me a reason to go bigger LOL.

Cylinders 1,2,3,4,5,6,8 were 0% on the leak down and 7 was only 2-3%. I honestly think I could throw it back together and be fine........but it would always be in the back of my head. Not only that I only want to R/R one time

In regards to the head gasket, not for sure or certain. The combustion camber did not present any evidence of a head gasket leak.
