I got my used Esky appliques color matched and cleared this weekend. They still need to be wet sanded a bit once the paint cures. But I'm pretty happy with them considering it was a rattle can job.

I also swapped my Eagle Eyes fully-lighted CHMSL over to an OEM Esky wing I bought on eBay that was already factory painted the right color.

I decided to get rid of all the stickers on the back window, too. That, with the de-badging I did last year, cleaned it up nicely. So even though it's supposed to rain tomorrow, I washed the Denali and posed it for a photo.

The Eagle Eyes wing had warped pretty badly. And I never could get the rubber sealing flap to stay put. So it's going in the trash.

For those of you with racks on your Hoes, I have a couple of questions.

1. What is the distance between the rear edge of the rail cap and the rear of the roof? Not counting the spoiler at all.

2. Are these end caps/feet supposed to have any kind of piece or pad under them, or do they sit directly on the roof?

Yesterday, I capped off the cutout half of my exhaust since the valve fell apart. Now it's just running through the 40" of muffler and the 3" unmuffled part is acting like a Hemholtz chamber.

Beat a piece of cardboard on the tip to get a pattern:

Cut out the pattern, traced it on some 14 gauge sheet and cut it out:

Welded, primed and sprayed with high-temp paint:

It sounds LAME. But, it's really quiet inside. It's only slightly louder than when I had the 18" muffler and cats. Of course, at WOT and high RPM, it gets louder than it did back then. But at no point is it uncomfortably loud any more.

On mine, the back end of center of the pad (separate piece from the main foot) is 3 3/8” to where the body bends down for the drip channel.

I figured there was a pad under those feet. Dammit, now I have to find the part numbers on those. And order a set.

I found an exploded parts diagram of the rails to determine which side was which. There weren’t any pads shown, but I’ve seen enough of this kinda stuff to assume they should be there.
