That seems low. My hot idle pressure is mid 20s, usually 25 or 26

That’s what I was thinking. I’m due for an oil change soon and I disabled AFM with hptuners.

Googled some things and found that the screen and sensor could be clogged or malfunctioning. Which I don’t think the sensor is bad as it matches what’s on the dash. The other thing was the VLOM needs to be replaced but that was hit or miss sometimes it would fix someone’s problem other times it wouldn’t.

Open to ideas....

So curious question...

Whats idle and cruising oil pressure gauge look like?

Mine seems a bit low and if it’s going I would like to be ahead of it and find a replacement and pull this one.

I wish i knew the history of my old 5.3, but 40psi hot idle seems to be normal.
my engine @28psi hot idle was eating cam bearings.

now it's possible there was some botched work done on my engine in the past, like the original lifters were in fantastic condition, and the cam looked pretty fresh.
So someone might have nicked a cam bearing resulting in the sparkles....

that said, nip it in the bud early is my thought.

Oh and on mine, i found my oil pressure regulator in the pump was sticking.
I did loosen a bunch of sludge before everything went south...

My oil pressure had a very slow rise, changing the sensor did nothing.
The screen was clean but i changed it anyways.

Mine also failed to get the 10psi per 1k mark.
so at 5krpm +, it would sit under 50psi.

Wife says the 07 spewed gas and isn't taking any in. Ordered the canister vent solenoid and updated harness. Going to take it up to the gas station tomorrow to see if I can coax some gas in there so she can drive it until the parts show up.

Replaced solenoid and used updated harness, no change. What's next, canister?

Probably. Also the vent solenoid can stay closed if the truck is running while filling, so is a potential issue. Ignition off so the vent valve opens.

Try pushing (blowing) some air through the disconnected canister, it should be pretty easy. If the canister has gas in it or the pellets are escaping, new canister time.

I'm about to pull mine to test it for leaks, since mine has the opposite problem, evap leak.

Yes I know the bracket looks janky but this ***** won’t move!! Used my prior garage door experience for using the punched angle.

Bruh... As soon as I saw the first pic and before I read your sentence at the end, the reply I heard forming in my head was "As a former overhead door tech, I approve of your shenanigans". Coincidentally, I had an emergency repair at my brother's house last night- thrown cable.
