You're running conservative stock timing, the CR isn't sky high and the tighter quench staves off detonation. Don't go WOT to redline while towing a motorhome and you'll be fine for break-in.

Mine had three-month-old 93 in it (fuel loses its octane rating with age) and this is less than an hour after the first start:

Took the hoe for a little drive once i had the transmission fluid gtg, taking it easy to seat the rings fully.
lots of stops and go was the plan.
seems once i get into mid throttle i get a reduced power message.
code: p0606

so I'll double check all of my grounds and connections.
probably re-flash the ecm with the tune file for good measure once i'm happy with everything.

Still very odd.

My helper did manage to step on a few things, i have a service airbag light.
I recall him pointing it out to me, so maybe i have a short causing the whole thing? :fish_h4h:
I can clear the code and it's gtg.

And i did some watching for knocks with the tech2, got a few on a few cylinders.

So i went to the gas station that used to have the race fuel.
none to be found this time, so i topped off with 91.

Why can't this just be easy! lol
