I was talking about the go pro and phone combo. That's a pretty nifty setup

So was I! The whole setup. Well, except for the phone. The GoPro was a bday gift years ago. But, yeah, I loosen the bleeder just enough to let it flow under pressure. No sense in backing it out so much it's loose in the threads. That just lets air in around the threads and gives you almost no pedal resistance. I watch the hose and bottle as I work the pedal. When it goes from watered-down tea color to lemonade-colored and no bubbles, it's done. Having the bleeders just loose enough keeps the system sealed so air doesn't come in while I make my way back to that corner to close it. I can't rely on anyone for anything.

I never would've thought of that. Supposedly you can place your phone somewhere and use the watch as a view finder. I'll be keeping your idea in mind going forward. I saw the feature but couldn't imagine a time I would use that. Now I have the perfect use!

also, the key cycle thing. I learned that today as well. You're a wealth of knowledge. You really are

You're an iPhone family- you could even borrow Steph's phone and FaceTime yourself to watch it if you didn't wanna bother digging out the GoPro.

New issue with the hoe today, went through some mud for the first time ever.
right afterwards i noticed the hvac controller was stuck and wouldn't let me turn it off.

turned the key off, removed the key, opened the door and it was still stuck on.
sorta dim but stuck.
so i started the engine and that reset it.

I thought weird but whatevs.
First thought was a ground by the way it acted.

Then on my drive home, all was well.
then I noticed my radio seemed to flicker for a sec, and my radar detector reset.

odd but what ever.

Later it started getting worse.
Full on dash would turn off and back on, radar detector (cig lighter), and the radio would fully reset like i restarted the truck.

Suddenly the nav came up and wanted to take me somewhere??!?! :jester:

Then a harder rest, this time my fuel gauge reads empty and warning lights about it.
Pulled over and decided to restart the truck again.
Nothing.
couple tries and it finally restarted.

back in the driveway.

screams ground or short to me.
Pulled codes, got some Randoms that still scream a ground to me.
(emobilizer and crap)
Emissions status is still in a "ready" so i didn't loose that.

Started right after a few mud puddles...

My temp gauge started reading low. One day it's fine. Next day it's reading low, but it doesn't stay low. It varies. I'm hoping it's just the 200k mile temp sensor laying down. Funny thing, I did a WOT pull from 20-98 mph. Temp read perfectly fine for a week. Maybe try that...

How bout in your garage? My spare is not the same size as my tires are now or the same size as the ones I had on when I first removed the spare. So…it sits in the shop to be used probably never. If I get a flat I will either leave the vehicle and repair/replace the tire, or make my insurance company do the job I pay them for (free towing and free roadside).
If I had a house or garage, so many of my space and time issues would be gone.
Like it easily get projects done after work everyday.
But I'm still in a ****** little apartment especially the way this housing market has gone the last 2 years.
I have new tires on order, actually ordered them about 2 months ago still waiting for them to ship.
So I figured I would swap out one of my 4-year-old tires that are the same size as the new 33's (minus 50,000 miles of wear), with the 8-year-old original spare in the original size.
I know it'll fit up there, it'll just hang down a tiny bit lower.

I've got roadside assistance and towing as well, but I could easily have that spare tire put on there before they arrive and be on my way.

But mostly, I go out into the middle of the desert, especially where there's no cell phone service for miles, and they wouldn't be able to get out there even if I could contact them.
