Just did both sides, upper and lower control arms, glad I did replace them. Passenger side upper ball joint was nearing its life expectancy, so was the lower on the drivers side. However after doing all the arms and tie rods getting an alignment do I find out that the half shaft on the passenger side starts clunking around. NOTE: if your going in and doing A… B & C for the sake of argument should be looked at and or replaced as well.

However, it started with wanting to lower the front end of the truck along with the drop springs and shock relocators on the rear that I’ve had for a while.
Let me just say Belltech I’ve used before,
On my pickemuptruk but…. When they tell u need to trim the threads on both the upper and lower control arm ball joints… well it should of set of a red flag for me.

Once u trim the UCA nut there isn’t a way to loosen/ remove in the future or tighten if you need to even with the supplied lock washer start washer.

Those items are going back. Umm Summit return please.
I trimmed mine on my 02 with Belltech drop spindles ,it wasn't an issue. Why do you think you won't be able to remove the nuts afterward? Just remove them, they'll clean the threads as they come off. You pretty much have to in order to use drop spindles. Unless I'm misunderstanding you.

Any suggestions on an easy way to clean the oil drain holes without using a bunch of solvent and having to drain the oil pan again? I have the valve covers off and want to make sure the drain holes are clear before putting the covers back on. There seemed to be a bit more oil than I would have expected to see.

*RH Valve cover and gasket replacement along with a new engine oil fill tube, since somebody thought the entire fill tube gets pulled out instead of just the fill cap. It’s not worth having friends try to “help”. Even smart people occasionally do dumb costly $h!t.
Why not try a gun cleaning rod with a nylon brush close to the size of the drain hole?

I've used various gun cleaning rods, bore snakes, etc on other things other than firearms

Been working on the rear bumper and installing an onboard battery maintainer on my Silvy. I replaced the painted chrome end pieces with new paintable parts, installed a 120v receptacle in place of the trailer wiring which I’ll never use and ran the wiring along the frame to the front. Now this winter I’ll be able to use a super shirt extension cord and just plug it into the rear. Won’t even have to open the hood plus no more wires hanging out the front and cord running along the ground. I think my paint job came out great. :)

Nice work--and stealthy plug setup too. I love anything stealthy.

What brand of parts are they using? Could be a heckova deal if they use good parts.
He's very good to me. He is a long time neighborhood friend and business associate. He runs a diesel truck repair shop. Sent a lot of work his way over the past 30 years from my job. He seems to take care of me when he works on my truck repairs that are a bit too much for me to handle. Also does my annual inspections. I know for a fact he is big on quality parts and not installing junk. And he won't skimp on things or tell me I have to take care of something right away he feels is an issue.

You could try some long pipe cleaners. I've read some guys use them to clean the oiling holes in pushrods.
Ok. Thanks. I have some long rifle q-tips that I use for all kinds of detail work.
I wasn’t sure if pipe cleaners would “shed” while using them on something like that.

Maneuverability is the main issue. Not a whole lot of room to run something like that…we shall see. I suppose it’s a form of “headspace and timing”, or maybe “hand space”.
