sucks down here is theres like 10 different city police departments, sheriff, and highway patrol along my commute to/from work.

the individual PDs usually wont pull you over on i95, even in their lawful boundries unless you're really messing up.

county (palm beach and broward) sheriff can pull you over but usually wont, and a lot of correction officers drive marked vehicles for whatever reason. but also some of them cover city limits so unless youre doing dumb shit they dont usually care.

FHP are dicks, and will pull you over anywhere. theyll crawl along in the middle lanes (of 5 lanes wide) no one will pass them going 5-10 under the speed limit so it backs traffic way up, and wait for people to get sick of it and pass in the hov lanes and then jump over and pull them over.

problem is 80% of people wont pass any of these vehicles no matter how slow theyre going, what lane theyre in, and dont get out of the way so anyone else can either. ****** school district cops and college campus patrol people refuse to pass - like gtfo of the way if you arent going to pass them holy shit

Baton Rouge Troopers....... Crooks. They tried to scam me.
Returning from a F1-Tunnelboat boat race in Ft Lauderdale. Returning to California. Driving a box van with a single boat trailer. The trailer was BRAND NEW / chrome fenders.... Not a fingerprint on the trailer.

An UGLY Camaro passed me by.. ( must have had a radio?)... A trooper told me to drive to the next rest stop. I pulled in.... He said I hit the side of a Camero. I asked, " where is the Camaro?"..
Trooper said, " He left"..... I said, " Kidding??
They contacted my bosses insurance company. Insurance company said, " Go pound sand", when they inspected my trailer.
....... Crooks....

I can't speak for all police and I support my law enforcement. But, I was targeted and attacked a couple weeks ago in that Durango R/T rental by an obviously mentally unstable lunatic. A lot of shady shít ensued after the first responding trooper arrived:

1) When he got out of his unit, the girl immediately went from flailing, stomping and cussing me out to an absolute sweetheart. After he checked on her, his first question to me was asking if I had insurance. His demeanor was very quiet and secretive and he could barely look up when speaking as if it was a lot to process. His second question to me was if I noticed if she had a back bumper or not. THEN he got to the prerequisite license, registration and proof of insurance requests.

2) He got the witness's story (I overheard and it aligned with mine) then quickly sent him away without documenting his identity or testimony.

3) He stepped out of it and sat in his unit and another trooper showed up to take over. They did a lot of conversing while frequently looking at her and me during their convos as if to discuss how they were going to proceed (yes- this is an assumption).

4) The carbon copy of the info exchange form I was given has the girl's name (or a female name) and the year and model of the car she was driving- No address, no DL number, no insurance info, no plate number... nothing. Mine was fully filled out. I'm concerned this psycho has my address and all other info and I have nothing of hers. When the second trooper gave me the form, he was very short and vague when answering my questions and kept mentioning "You're free to go" at the end of his replies. I felt he was ushering me away.

5) The trooper and the girl have the same last name and were both light-skinned. No, this doesn't mean they were related and I never got anywhere near her enough to get a good look at her. But, hers and the trooper's actions and sheepish mannerisms tell me there's more to the story.

got a nail on my sidewall. Thinking of going to 305/45r22. i've only seen one comment about clearance issues with the power steps. can anyone else confirm?

If it helps I'm at stock height with 305/40/22s and 30mm offset and on level ground I barely clear the front liners by a few mm ... if I back up at full steering lock upa steep hill it rubs slightly.

So you're gonna get a lot of rub with the 45s ... and if you happen to have power assist steps it won't clear them.

that's about max without any kind of lifting for most gm's suv/pickups, you might get a small rub in reverse at full lock
not sure what difference power steps would make, some one else will have more info I'm sure don't just take my word for it

Was recently discharged from the hospital due to covid on 11/16. One of my bf’s drove my truck to hospital so i could drive home. I have a really narrow garage so She ran into the back of my trash can and busted my taillight and sideswipe the side of my house so theirs damage around the rear driver’s rear wheel area. I should be pissed, but I’m not, she basically gonna pay for everything.

Still trying to figure out this airbag issue and shimmy issue so this just throws a monkey wrench in everything.
