In September I took theothertwin for its annual inspection. I made sure to unplug the Range gizmo for a week. Passed no problem.

Today I was out and realized I was right there again and thecopcar is due for inspection, so I pulled in. While waiting in line I remembered the Range was still plugged in. Oopsie. I let it ride. Passed anyway. Good to know for the future.

I do live in a county that doesn’t require emissions testing, so I don’t know if they even plug into the OBD or not. I forgot to ask.

Since thecopcar is set up for overlanding, I do have a 45L refrigerator on board. It’s a single zone, but capable of dropping to 4F. Fast forward to last Tuesday. My dad and his wife are coming to visit for turkey day. He calls to suggest I pick up a small turkey early, and reminded me it needs to stay frozen. Hmmm, a turkey won’t fit into my freezer at home.

so, for the last few days, thecopcar has been a rolling meat wagon. The fridge is holding steady at 25 degrees.

Maybe you should rename it the Meat Wagon? Kinda a shoutout to its former days too.

Alright, gents. Let’s keep the thread on topic about what we’ve done to our GMT900’s. If you wanna talk about being sick and needing your feet rubbed you can make a thread about such things in the Lounge.

I wonder if someone were to use one of those OBD splitter cables that allow you to keep the Range device plugged in and allow an emissions test through the OBD port also, would pass emissions while the Range was plugged in

Good question. I do have the splitter because I also have a Scangauge plugged in all the time.
