14 bolt got delivered. Now I need to pop the cover and make sure everything is good before bothering to pull the 10 bolt out and swap parts over.
From what I've read, this version of the 14 bolt only came with the g80 gov bomb. But on the listing for this, I don't remember seeing it mentioned. So we will find out...I'm hoping not, but also not having much hope.G80 unit?

Yeah, it would probably last forever for me on the street, but I don't think it would work very well once I started drifting it around in the dirt and off-roading.Mine has been tough as nails and certainly beats an open diff. Post inside pics when you get her opened up!
I think you might be surprised, I do a lot of sideways stuff on dirt and pavement granted mine is on smaller tires but it also gets a lot of clutch kicks and no lift shifts as well as towing. Heck I just pulled a big Amazon van out of a sandy road Sunday night, it took a good 6 or 7 snatches with a bubba rope but the locker did it’s job.Yeah, it would probably last forever for me on the street, but I don't think it would work very well once I started drifting it around in the dirt and off-roading.
Well, before I broke the 8.6, I was planning to put an Auburn gear limited slip locker in it. But they don't offer that for the 14 bolt. So probably just a regular locker of some sort. As much as limited slip would be nice on the street, it's much more practical to have something that will completely lock up for all the shenanigans and just stay open the rest of the time.I think you might be surprised, I do a lot of sideways stuff on dirt and pavement granted mine is on smaller tires but it also gets a lot of clutch kicks and no lift shifts as well as towing. If you replace it what are you putting in it?

The trutrac is what I’m going with when the time comes. Might actually be next on the listI wish there were more options out there, everything seems kinda crazy expensive for the 9.5s. An Eaton trutrac (Not a locker but a good posi) is over $800! That's why I still have my cheapo G80 lol.
