you just cut the thin plastic part where the clip is holding it on, takes a little work it's just plastic, but not like spending an hour trying to get the stupid clip loose and getting nowhere, unless your doing something crazy then you wont hurt the aluminum pipe inside
I wish I could do something like that, but too much overkill and the cops would show up for sure, regardless it was a war zone last night around here as usual
3 or 4 years ago someone on the other side of town had mounted launchers to sheets of plywood and had lined the street with them, not sure if they got lit off or not but the cops took them and made a big deal about on the news like it was some big drug bust.

got one of my offspring to lend a hand and re-installed it, couldn't get a socket and wobbler on there to get to 18ft lbs so I gave it a couple ugga-ugga's and called it good.out of round? like they bend the thing? wow.
that's cool they could fix it. hopefully all good. back when I dealt with it. they just spun it and tack welded washers on them haha. sounds like your shop is much better
