you just cut the thin plastic part where the clip is holding it on, takes a little work it's just plastic, but not like spending an hour trying to get the stupid clip loose and getting nowhere, unless your doing something crazy then you wont hurt the aluminum pipe inside

ahh. I get it. I was thinking more drastic haha.

I wish I could do something like that, but too much overkill and the cops would show up for sure, regardless it was a war zone last night around here as usual
3 or 4 years ago someone on the other side of town had mounted launchers to sheets of plywood and had lined the street with them, not sure if they got lit off or not but the cops took them and made a big deal about on the news like it was some big drug bust.

when I was a kid, a friend of mine lived a block over from a guy that owned a fire work shop and did displays. every year he'd basically throw a block party and block off the whole street. we thought it was the coolest as a kid.

now sad to say I'm officially old. last night was super quiet in my neighborhood. just some parents doing small stuff for kids. I don't miss it at all. was happy I didn't have to worry about them hitting my cars and stuff. being tx I think they are officially OK to set off but it's always so dry here I think people have realized it's not worth the risk. that and being 90deg put at night seems to take the edge off out door activity. even the pool is to warm to be in very long without being annoying.

It was 40,000 thousandths out, they heat treated it and did whatever....

out of round? like they bend the thing? wow.

that's cool they could fix it. hopefully all good. back when I dealt with it. they just spun it and tack welded washers on them haha. sounds like your shop is much better

got one of my offspring to lend a hand and re-installed it, couldn't get a socket and wobbler on there to get to 18ft lbs so I gave it a couple ugga-ugga's and called it good.
took it up to around 128 and without doing a concise before and after from before it was worked on I will call it 98% and good to go. They did weld a washer looking piece on it and then painted it so I don't know what else they did besides heat treating it. they were busy and I just wanted to get this back in and road tested.
~~vacay on schedule~~ unless something else outside of my control happens
