I used some black PlastiDip to cover up the water damaged gold bowtie. I feel like I should have explored using the glossifier along with the matte black, since everything else on the truck is glossy/shiny, but even the change to black really cleaned up the look.
I also removed the dealer plate on the front bumper. I need to also remove their sticker on the rear of the vehicle. No more free advertising for them.

Before and after, front and rear.

Definitely much improved. But, yeah, body color would look the best.

When you look at the center of the dash, there is so much play, it vibrates like crazy and that thin strip in front of the passenger airbag just does not have enough support. Then of course whatever plastic was/is used. A well known and documented problem across the internet for sure, but not going to ruin my day at this point. Just bad design and execution, but could be a whole lot worse.

It's crazy how much there seems to be play in the middle of the dash. And the material for sure is just simply inferior to withstand the rigors it is being put through with vibrations, heat cycles, sunshine and what not. :emotions122:

And all GM could do is to shrug it aside and not do anything about it. Oh well... It is what it is and need to live with it. Probably not going to be able to talk my wife into starting to use a sunshade when parking at home or when ever she parks it at the airport, so we'll see how long this will last.
