What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It's been in the 20s-30s in the morning here, and it sounds like mine has developed an unfortunate case of piston slap. At least I hope it's piston slap and not something more damaging. Anyway, next oil change I'll go with Mobil 1 high mileage, which is supposed to be a bit thicker than Mobil 1 standard, and see how it sounds.

Not everyone agrees to this however, on my 2006 I had terrible position slap. I did seafoam via PCV and it went away.

I'll give that a try.. which PCV did you use, the one on the airbox? And how much of the can did you suck up?

Yanked the side moldings. Looks so much cleaner. Don't be fooled by the reflection off the floor in the last pic. It looks like the paint is lighter where the molding was but you really can't tell at all that they were there.

Then installed these and new pads from R1 concepts. Braided brake lines are next.

I disconnect the Vacuum line from the brake booster and draw it up via a dixie cup. I use a half bottle when doing it

Thanks man. Did you just stick the hose in the cup and suck it up like a straw?

Just to get back on topic for what I did to my NNBS, I downloaded a GPS speedometer app that has a 0-60 and 1/4 mile timer, tried the 0-60 timer and got a result of 7.0 seconds I've done it a few times and got 7.1 or 7.0 each time. Obviously it's not the most accurate measurement, it uses the iPhone's GPS antenna and counts in increments of 1/10th seconds, but it was fun to try and good to know that this big beast can still hang with most new SUVs on the road.

Subscribed to SiriusXM for Wifey (she still doesn't know about it), replaced a rear stoplight bulb, and purchased a replacement idler pulley since it is a little squeaky when cold, will replace that tomorrow along with some other minor cosmetic stuff.

Really dig this thing, almost hoping Wifey will hate it (not likely). Need to order the folding mirror replacement gears so I can get it done before Christmas.

You have a link to the bulbs you went with? Did you have any issues getting it to clip to the OEM harness when you installed the new bulbs? I ask as I tried one set and had to send them back as they would not clip in securely. Thx man.
