Not to be argumentative but if this is true, why do smaller primary tubes equate to more torque and larger tubes equate to more horsepower???

Again, not arguing, just always curious about how things work.

That may have been true for older muscle cars, but today with engines it matters more that you match the primaries with the engine and that they go into the collector in the correct order. Engine Masters had a great video on it until Motortreand bought them. You may still be able to find it somewhere. The also did a video on x pipe vs h pipe and that sounds more like what you are referring to. But on the hp and tq levels we are talking about the are negligible.

So, in your opinion, you see no reason to keep the cats?

Do you think it would be a noticeable difference one way or the other?

I am not keeping mine. I don't think you would notice it until you tune it. It also depends on how plugged your cats are. Mine are pretty bad so I may notice a little, but not much.

I have a 6.2 Denali so I am going with the 1 7/8 long tubes from speed engineering.

I am not keeping mine. I don't think you would notice it until you tune it. It also depends on how plugged your cats are. Mine are pretty bad so I may notice a little, but not much.

I have a 6.2 Denali so I am going with the 1 7/8 long tubes from speed engineering.

I am not certain about how much mine may be plugged. The truck has almost 230k on it and as far as I know these are the original cats... not that it really matters as long as the truck was running correctly and not dumping a bunch of fuel or burning a bunch of oil. I have had the truck since it had 155k on it.

Guess I will probably go ahead and remove them just for GP... what's the worst that could happen... lol

Definitely getting the tune updated after it's all said and done.

Washed her today... she's not perfect but the paint still shines where it should.
What do they call it a perfect 10, looks great from 10 feet away.

Eventually I'll get a full coat polish/wax on her, for now the wax job on the hood from a few months ago is holding up well.

So I had a few minutes, and these came in today. 3157 for the front
(not the fancy JDM ones) $8 wish.com.... we'll see.
