Unfortunately that's what it takes to resolve any issues today.
Yeah but this is a business where in my case I paid for something and got no reply for weeks, no clue when I would get my product. That’s no way to run a business. It’s not like I had a problem with what he sold me, I just had a problem receiving what he sold me, I never got a date when I should get it. Then I sent an email asking when I would get it, and nothing. I finally either emailed or called and said I’m having my CC company reverse charges and suddenly he answers me and gets me taken care of, with attention to detail like the delay never happened. He claimed he never saw my order or follow up email and was super apologetic. I just think maybe he’s stretched thin like a lot of companies lately. I know Tony AKA NorcalSS seems to be in that boat now and nobody can get ahold of him anymore.

It's really bad out there with things. Companies are all short handed and the dedicated hard workers are getting their ***** kicked and stretched thin.

gotta love when they post up a 60k vehicle and only use 3 pic's and virtually no details..

No, but I'm sure they're the same people x posting on CL. It's like pulling teeth, or asking to share their gf! DAMN! I'm like--didn't you post this ad to sell it?? F*** YOU!!

Yup. My point exactly.

Kids on FB post up their '01-'10 trucks like they're advertising a custom auto shop. They list the stereo system, wheels and tires (using cryptics- "6s n 7s, 2s n 5s..."), front lift is just said to be "leveled", the style of LEDs, the interior paint scheme, etc. and post a few diagonal pics of it at a gas station at night with the wide-angle lens effect. No mention of mileage, engine or trans configuration, if it needs anything (they all have "nun rong wit it"). None are actually interested in selling, they "just wanna see what's out there". Meaning, they can't sell it cuz they need it to get to their job at Arby's but wanna let you know they're wiling to trade someone for their 2020+ crewcab diesel.

Thanks for the laugh, that was funny. i haven't been looking for cars lately but I did just sell the '15-'20 rear Silverado bumper on FB marketplace that I got for free from my neighbor who was going to throw it away. I had a lot of dudes just asking if it was still available and then not following up but finally one showed up and gave me $150 which is what i figured it was worth. I listed it at $175. So that was pretty sweet, I didn't have to do a thing really. Free cash FTW!

"Is this available?"...

Yeah. That's something else I don't get. When I respond to an ad, I treat it as if it's still for sale. I mean, it's advertised as if it's for sale, right? I never send the default "Is this available?" message. I erase it and get right to the point, asking the TWO most pertinent questions. I can't ask more than that because their ADD takes over and you'd be lucky if they even answer one of the questions. If you ask one at a time, they get pissy because they "aint got time 2 b playn 1000 questns".

Then there are the ones that put in the ad "DO NOT ASK IF IT'S AVAILABLE I WILL NOT RESPOND" and "IF IT'S POSTED IT'S AVAILABLE". Okay- sounds like my kinda seller. So I get right down to business and ask when and where they can meet. Their usual response: "Yes, it's available". :emotions122:

I swear I'm dealing with a toddler that has their daddy's phone to watch TikToks and my Marketplace replies are interrupting them.

Absolutely true.

We went into Macy's yesterday as we needed towels and the one's we liked were like 50% off. There was one person at the check out kiosk and a line about 40' long. The poor clerk was working her ***** off and no help.

When we finally got to the check out counter, I asked the poor gal where her help was and she said, "I am it. It is impossible to get people to take a job these days". Driving out of the mall and past a car wash I saw a sign for help wanted for the car wash, $1300 sign on bonus, I kid you not, $1300 if you just take a job at a freaking car wash.

Bunch of old farts judging the world based on how it WAS and not the way it IS. Adapt or die people.
All kidding aside. Do you, none of my business. I’ll do me, again none of your business. Just live and let live.
