:party36:did a compression check on my engine all 8 read 170 psi good news
check timming and it's correct.... i had some lopping and little
power loss, when at a light and i push on the gas it had a little shake like a plug is not firing as i took the spark plug wires off to do the compression testi had 2 spark plug wires that wasn't pushed

all the way on the plugs (lol) after putting every thing back on it
drove a lot better and throttle response.
2 that wasn't

No way, we don't want V6s either. You can leave them to the minivans and crossovers. lol

Silly truck, V6s are for cars.

Actually... GMC back in the day was the first big user of V6s in their trucks, ranging from the 3/4 ton models and up. These were uber torquey large displacement motors used for trailering, and the smallest motor they used was a 305 ci and the largest was in the 700 ci range. So V6s are truck motors adapted for cars.

I had a 3/4 ton with the straight 6 in it...think it was a 76, the truck had major cajones and geared real low...3/4 4wd not much speed but could pull a house down.

I love inline six motors. They have a very different feel from anything else I've ever driven.
