Horrible should be way lower to the left at the under is the dash seam. No need to be up in your face. I would dispute the install. And of they drilled into your lower dash that high INSIST On a replacement lower half

I figure it's my fault since we live in a modern day idiocracy. I should have taken the guy by the hand and pointed to the correct spot to install it, then patted him on the head. We live in a society where nothing is ever anyone's fault, and the business standard is "give us a chance to fix it", instead of doing it right the first time.

I'll fix it myself and never go back there again, douche monkey blew a potential $15,000 camper sale this fall. After having a bad temper for the past 40+ years, i'm all yelled out and really can't stomach arguing with idiots.

I had some "professionals" mount my brake box and wire my 99 for a 7 pin connector, this is what I ended up with. Hard to tell from the angle but it's literally 1" from the cd player, and they completely blocked off one of the power ports. What do you all think, this seems lazy at best.

I got a call from the shop that just dropped a rebuilt motor in it..
Me: "Hey, Sean here, calling about the Tahoe... Is it ready to be picked up?"
Them: "Yeah, it's ready to go, has a bit of a hiccup every once in awhile.. But I'm thinking it could be the crank angle sensor..."
Me: "Well, so what are you recommending I do?"
Them: "Drive it, put a few hundred miles on it, see if the hiccup works itself out"

I am so pissed at myself I don't even know what to do. I pulled over when having engine trouble, and what started as spark plugs arcing, then to a new fuel spider, turned into low compression in (3) cylinders, and ended with an $800 grand finale of needing new cats, because "there were cracks/the whole thing rotted away".... So, I bought this truck for $5800 a year and a half ago.. And, after the wheel cyliders both blew out and took everything with them ( $1100), having a bad distributor cap installed ($400), and then, this.. I'm now into this truck for:

$1100
$400
$350
$250
$3200
$800
________
$6100. I'm into it for $300 more than I paid for the whole damn thing.

I now drive a '99 2 Door Tahoe, with 132k on it, that costs $11,900.... I give up.

be glad you're not in my shoes. I got about 20k wrapped up into my 1995 Tahoe between the axle conversion and the Vortec engine conversion

Been busy last few weeks.... Put anzo halo headlights, LED parking lights, LED tails and 3rd brake light on, put in the Volant CAI with a mounted MSD box (not wired in yet). Managed to find NOS Edelbrock shocks which are going in this Friday and a new headliner and visors scheduled for Thurs.

Upcoming improvements are the updated fuel spider, ported TB, MSD coil and wires, cap/rotor and other stuff too numerous to list at this time. Basically it has become a money pit.. LOL
