Finished the fabrication today. Now all it needs is paint. It's gotta warm up a lot more before that happens. Lol.

It was just a quick and easy thing I did looks so much better now I'm in the process of getting the equipment to really paint the whole truck. Takes money though lol

ive painted 2 pair for myself and 1 for a buddy. the trick is all in the prep and a good adhesion premotor. I only use 3M think they call it plasti stick

I would hate to rear end that bumper. How much weight did your fabrication add verses the factory? Sans the spare tire weight since that would be a wash.
Ehhh, the bumper itself isn't much more... It's all 1/4", it's not fully boxed in except the ends. There is 3/8" plate for bracing in the one corner... I had to just start welding shit in. It twisted up pretty bad, when I hung on it, the bolts didn't even hold it from twisting. I ended up welding to the frame too...

Hell man, I wouldn't have a clue. I used steel that has been laying around my place. I'm a welder, I pick up all the scrap I can think I would ever use when the job let's me.

nah.... It won't cost that much. Most steel yards have a scrap pile, a pile of drops that customers didn't want. A lot of em will Damn near give you the drops. Just gotta go looking and not be super picky about what you use...

image.jpeg Picked up an intake on summits discount rack tonight during their big 3 day scratch n dent sale.

Not Yukon related but picked up a new turbo for my wrx for basically half price. It's a GT3076R, external wastegate, turbine is swaintech coated. All for a little over $1k. Normally around $2k, minus the coating.
