installed a B&I moulded wood trim kit. was very please with the look. ive had those other stick on kits in the past , but this one actually looks like its a moulded factory part. also , the kit isn't overbearing... I think its just enough accent. compliments my new carpet mats. my ultimate plan is to find a denali center console (maybe the unicorn has it in her cave), and the B&I custom wood grain wheel. all the grain will match and the quality will make it look factory.View attachment 63424 View attachment 63425 View attachment 63427 View attachment 63428 View attachment 63425
I love that kit, says it matches the Denali woodgrain too

Added an aux for music. I used an FM Modulator (iS-31) came out great, I've used these units on many of my older vehicles.

It works by plugging into your antenna line and adds a signal to a particular freq, I set it to 87.9. You set 87.9 to your favorites, select it and plug in.

I did however break both the hvac control head tabs. I just drilled a hole in the mount and ran some zip ties around.

I used a signal box that plugs into the aux input in the back of the radio where the remote tape or cd deck plugs into. It was much better sound than an fm modulator. At least I had that until my factory head unit died and I converted to a double din setup.

I still actually have CDs so I figured I'd use them. I did what you described on a 99 Grand Prix I used a remote cassette from one of these truck and snagged the R and L audo lines for the 3.5mm.

Brett,

It's a bit scary just for the amount of harnesses and fragile parts on an other-wise heavy piece of equipment. Three screws on the top side near the windshield, bolts on the underside up by the HVAC (5/8ths bolts) and it will lift up and swing out toward the seats. Just disconnect the wires and it's pretty much out. I let the steering wheel down with 2 bolts and it came out a bit easier. I did it by myself, which maybe was a mistake. Getting the new one back in will likely prove more difficult.

I see, is yours the dual airbag dash or the 95 single airbag? I need to find a good dash to swap in and make some calls to see how much to get it done, not sure if I want to risk it

Picked up this bullbar off CL for stupid cheap, basically brand new. Picked up some hella 450's from summit and put a yellow tint overlay on them. My passenger side fender and liner decided it was time to rot away (it's aftermarket) so I picked up a new one and painted it myself to save some $$ and time. Undercoated the liner and will be doing the same to the inside portion of the fender along with some cavity wax to hopefully prevent any further rusting.

Also figured while I was painting stuff to touch up all the other little rough spots around the body. Sanded it all down or wire wheeled it, cleaned, primered, then either painted or used undercoating (wheel arches) to keep the chipping and rusting to a minimum.
