What do you TOW?

We just bought it this week, real clean and mechanically sound. We are going t tow our travel trailer 6500# from southern Illinois to gattlinburg TN this fall. It has 140k miles n it.

Get a good brake controller and look into a transmission cooler. I would just check over your brakes and make sure that they are up to the task.

How heavy does your camper weigh? Is yours the Denali with a 6.2 or the 5.3? Where in Southern IL do you live?

So the TruCool did amazing. There was about a 40 degree difference. The temps never got over 165.

The autoride did ok. There was a noticeable improvement but still not as level as I want it. So I will be putting the helper bags in at some point in time.

24' boat, loaded with gear. Total weight ends up to be between 7,000 - 7,200lbs. Total gross weight, car, boat and gear is over 14,000.
Used to shamelessly tow it with a 2002 suburban, 5.3 engine and it took some patience going up some of the hills. The trip would take around 3 - 3.5 hours using the 2002. Now we have the 2015 Denali with 6.2 and make it in 2.5 hours.
