How do you like the Eagle one wheel and tire cleaner on your rims? What kind of rims do you have and does it leave a lot of spots?

I like it, have been using it for years. I have the stock 20 in polished 5 spoke wheels on a 2008 LTZ. Don't get spots, I spray it on, let it foam up and set for a few mins. Then rinse with the hose, then go back and wash with soap during the wash process. Then dry with a microfiber towel. Their new tire dressing gel works great too, especially with their foam applicator.

I use Armor All Tire Wet and the Tire Gel with the sponge applicator. The gel works great for smooth tires but no for the tires i got now so thats why i went to the tire wet spray.

A while back some one posted that they use WD-40 on their inner fenderwells to keep them clean and shiny and the dust off.
I did this and ended up getting some on my tire, i figured what the hell lets try it on the tire and see how it works. It's been three weeks now and other than blowing a little dust off with the airt compressor the tire that i used it on is still nice and black but not to shiny.
This may sound strange but i plan to use this from now on.

Hmmm...I wonder if there are any long term effects of using WD-40 on the tires...like weather cracking or something like that....???

Kind of funny, I just discovered that using WD-40 to clean the white rubber on my Chuck T's works really well....

You should never use wd on your tires. It will rot your tires and make the rubber crack. Just use some non-petroleum based tire shine and you will be alright. :waytogo:

So the petroleum reacts with the rubber and rots it?
Shit that would suck considering how much the 24's cost.
Thanks for the heads up.
I knew it had to be to good to be true.

I use Meguiars Gold Class Endurance high gloss gel with a foam applicator, or Griots Garage vinyl & rubber dressing in a pinch. I have noticed the Griots Garage spray collects more dust, but has a more natural shine.

I scrub them with simple green to remove the browning antiozonic wax.

I don;t like shiny/glossy tires so i just use my normal meguiar's interior cleaner on the tires whenever i feel like it. a second scrubbing sponge really works it into the rubber.

Usually lasts about a month or two on relatively new tires, and about 2-4 weeks on 3+ year old tires before you have to clean them again.
