What exactly should I do about this?

So yesterday I was painting my sidemarkers black...Did it exactly how I did on my charger (and they came out perfect) just taped around the headlights and sprayed em right on the car...Now this time I think where I ****** up was I didn't sand them down enough initially. I hit em with 2000 grit and got em scuffed up, but I suspect not scuffed up enough...and it resulted in some nasty pinholing which looks horrible...what should I do to fix it? probably sand it way the hell down and repaint? When sanding do I just sand down until I can't see the holes and then put the new coats on? It looks pretty ****** so I'm not to happy right now to say the least lol

sand them down until you get a flat surface. You don't need to sand 2000. 600 grit will be a better adhesive for your paint to stick to. If you were going to polish the clear lens then yes 2000 grit would be good.

I agree with Goodinblack on this one, you should of tinted them instead. Side marker lights are important.

Because I don't want the sidemarker to show anymore lol? It's just a reflector, not like I painted over my blinkers....

Gotcha....And I painted it because its just a reflector...I don't want it to show

Meh, just use a sharpie for touch up. Can't look any worse....

oh, and if you don't want to see them, take them out. hahaha

Ok, enough busting. Good luck and post some pics from a little further back after you get it done. I'm interested to see what it looks like when completed properly.

That's caused by contamination, not adhesion. While you did okay with sanding, what caused the fish eyes like that was oil/wax/dirt/etc being on the surface prior to painting. Wiping it down with wax and grease remover prior to painting this would have made a world of difference. You can also use rubbing alcohol as a substitute, but I prefer the legit ****.
