Im running my own custom single/dual system. Cut it behind the factory 2 bolt flange, ran a 3" mid pipe to a turbo muffler (keeps out the drone), then 2 2 1/2" tailpipes kicking 4 inch rolled tips behind the tires. Soon ill be ordering a set of Direct bolt on JBA'S and cutting in some magnaflow High flow converters.

Always get your exhaust done by a local professional shop. Its usually half the money and all you have to do is sit down in the office and relax. Well worth the money. I could never pay for a pre bent online exhaust. Most of the time they never fit, once the dies get worn out over time you end up being 5 degress off here and there and by the time you get to the back its 20 degrees off. If anyone here is in Mass and needs exhaust work done message me. Im out in the Worcester area. Ill quote anything you need or if you have questions.

Doug Thorley long tubes with the off road y-pipe to a magnaflow cat back.
Soon, once I've got more engine mods (cam and procharger) and a tq converter I'll be splitting the y and running an X to two mufflers and a tailpipe that looks stock-ish out each side.
Right now it sounds great with my mods and my custom tune. (they sound like shit when the computer pulls timing when shifting gears at only 5k rpm and whatnot)

^x2....unless your gonna do long tubes, just cut off the muffler and weld another one in and either keep or delete the resonator. Get a nice set of slp tips and your good to go.
I had the magnaflow 12589 and it sounded great and practically no drone inside.

I am in the process of buying a bunch of parts for my now wrecked Denali and one thing is an exhaust.
One question I hope you guys can answer, what exactly is the difference between exhaust kits/cat backs for the 5.3 and 6.0's?
I mean the kits look the same but kits for the 5.3 Yukon's are usually a lot cheaper?

Thanks for any help with this!

THE 6.0 has a dual set up. Trust me on this just replace the oem muffler with a magnaflow. The oem piping is more then enough flow for a stock motor.
