Ok guys, I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 that originally came with a 5.3 Flex Fuel motor. It now has a 2005 Cadillac LQ9 6.0 **. I am still running the 5.3 y-pipe and factory 5.3 exhaust system. I am about to order a Black Bear Tune. What exhaust system would bolt up to the factory y-pipe rear flange, but let the 6.0 ** breathe? I want a mild tone and no freeway drone. It has to be 409 or 304 SS and somewhat cheap.

Whem I had my 2005 2500hd it had the 6.0 amd oem piping was 3" I slapped a 40 series Flowmaster and it ran good with a bad ass healthy sound. Maybe swap out the y pipe and run the bigger piping with the muffler. Think the 5.3 cane with 2.5" piping.

Redid the duals on the Tahoe at work today. 3" mid pipe with Flowmaster 2 chamber, 2 1/2 tailpipes and as tips.

I like my magnaflow 12589 muffler, it's quiet but nice sound with windows down and no drone at all. Had a 40 series flowmaster before and the drone was crazy.
