What is the best sounding muffler?

I am running a Flow master super 40 on my 2003 Yukon XL. Just picked up a 2001 Yukon XL 2500. I am looking for opinions on what muffler to go with. Mine sounds great but I am looking for something a little deeper and louder on this one. I can only afford a muffler and not a system since I am spending money doing a 6 inch lift on it.

i have the magnaflow catback and love it... maybe go with the muffler that comes with it?

I have the flowmaster original 40 and it sounds great but has drone

I have the magnaflow ca backs as well and really like em. They have a nice low rumble but aren't TOO loud. Got mine on the cheap for about $230 from AMA on but I haven't seen em since for that cheap

Thanks, I need to find someone around home that has a magnaflow. I would like to hear them in person. Just bought a Escalade ESV also for my wife yesterday so now I need something for that truck too. I cant stand a stock muffler on trucks.

I have not seen you on here before. Adam might have. I kept telling him to ask when he heard something he liked the sound of. He ended up having a muffler shop in Castle Shannon weld in 2 cherry bombs. Sounds good but not as loud as yours. He had a strange system on this compared to our other trucks. I dont know if it is because it is a 2500 or if something was changed. Looks like a factory dual.

Ive run flow 40s on the hoe n had a silvi with magnaflows. Both sound good. Im gonna do a lil modding to my hoe from said cat area should sound better after

Magnaflow sounds great thats run I run, Flows sound good to had them on some stangs but everyone has Flows

I think the Flowmasters are to loud, I have a pair Magnaflows on my duals and I think they sound great, when towing they don't drone in the cab and have a nice sound when WOT. Cruising around town they are nice and quiet in the cab but still have a good sound outside. I'm 51 and my tastes have changed over the years. Flowmasters have their place but I think our rides deserve a little class.
