I was removing the heater controls ran across two things. One is these wires are these from stock radio? Next is it weird this dash control did not work since its dated 2007?
What is this inside my dash assembly?

The harness sorta looks like a cd player cable interface. The second is your heater a/c control unit. An Gm unit. The date is just the day it was manufactured.

The cable that runs down looks exactly like the harness for my external CD player.

Where does it plug into? I can not figure it out

Reason is neither were plugged into this dash control unit. Meaning maybe I did not need to get a replacement? That 2007 made one came out of my truck and was supposedly the "bad" one so maybe it works and just needs to have the part plugged in?

If it was a cd player interface, on plugged into oem cd player. The other plugged in radio side.

it does not plug into hvac module. with everything installed the hvac module just happened to be between them.

Lol figured to good to be to true. I had hoped it was the oh it just wasn't plugged in right and all it needed was to be plugged in for it to work. Ok ordered the new part on amazon the dealer wanted 289.00 and LMC wanted 279.00 so 108.00 seems like a better deal.
