My previous truck was a OBS Tahoe, I love pickups but don't really have a use for the bed for the few times I need to haul stuff I have one I can use, would rather an SUV so I got plenty of room to haul everyone around and more room for my GSD too.

I bought the yukon because I got a sweet deal on it. I love the room it has to haul stuff and people, and it's all covered. Plus it looks cool and is great on the highway. It cruises at a good clip and is decently smooth compared to a leaf sprung truck.

I need to trade it for a crew cab diesel pickup though. I need a tow rig for work. Many times it's impractical for me to take a dump truck. It is inefficient and it ties up a truck that could otherwise be working. I also want to have the nav, xm radio, leather, heat, ect that i'm used to in my truck while I'm at work.

A truck would have cost more to purchase. I wouldn't mind a truck, though. Looking for a pre '87 truck (no road tax on 30+ vehicles)

My Yukon XL is more versatile than a pickup. Can Haul 7 people or put my 9 Ft titan dinghy in the back and close the back door ( do this twice a year). Also can haul 10 foot long boards and close back door. Try that with a pick up!

Already had my 2013 rcsb. Needed a second vehicle to haul the lady and kid around. The Denali was the top pick for me. It's driven daily and usually picked over the truck. Much more comfortable to drive.

I started out with a 2005 F150 Supercrew 2WD that had 33s (on 18x10 Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels) and a leveling kit. I used that to tow my track car. After awhile I wasn't racing any longer and decided to lower the truck. I put a camper shell on it but it never was perfect for hauling people or dogs in great comfort.

Fast forward a few years and we just had our second kid. I sold the F150 in 2015 and have been deciding what to replace it with. I was getting serious about a 2005 Yukon XL Denali when I found the 2006 Suburban LTZ at local Caddy dealer. Test drove it, bought it and here I am. I'm hooked on it now and the family loves it.

Up here in Quebec Canada pickups have to be weighted down to keep their ass on the road during big storms. My Yukon is so heavy this isn't required plus i enjoy the extra passenger room

How else do you haul 4 kids with 1 more on the way in Texas? Granted, if I lived in Hawaii or Cali I could bolt some seats in the bed and call it a day.

wife and i went back and forth on this for a long time. since it was going to be her daily driver she ultimately had the swaying vote. we haul more people around than anything else and it does that very well.

that said, im pretty sure im going to pick up a silverado/sierra as well because i need more "dirty stuff" hauling like mulch, engines, transmissions, etc which i find myself hauling around more than i care to in my lexus or tahoe.
