What octane for BB tune?

If i currently use 87 and i choose to do a 87 octane tune, will i notice a difference?

Yes, ask the person you are getting the tune from. I got me a 93 tune in my 1500 I used to have and it made a huge difference

if your paying for a tune, for performance gains and mileage increases, paying the same, why would you tune for 87, and leave HP on the table....................

hmm, that's a good point....now here's a question, if ya get the 93 octane tune, and for whatever reason down the road put 87 octane gas in the tank, would this mess anything up?

i felt a difference with a 93 when i filled up back in the day seemed like it lasted longer and ran faster.
i need a bb tune

It only costs about $6 extra per tank for premium. Pretty good trade off for mileage and performance gains, cleaner running engine. Wish we had 93 here in Az..

not at all. The engine has knock sensors that can detect detonation, which it will compensate the timing and pull some timing out, til it doesn't 'hear' detonation. So you can 'use' 87 if your in a pinch, but like mentioned, at $6.00 for a fill up...............why not get the 91/93?

Now you go back and add 91/93, you get timing back. ( timing=power)
