Hey everyone. Another new guy just joined, me. Have a quick question.

I am in the market for a new truck that I dont know much about.

I wanted to know what to look for before purchasing a 2000 Yukon Denali I came across.

I don't have much info about it just that it currently has about 130k Miles. Winter driven. Also looks like they switched out the driver seat for one from a Tahoe.

Any help and advice is appreciated thanks.

You will want to look underneath to give it a once over and see that nothing is leaking too bad or looks sketchy
Look for rust on the body particularly around fenders
Make sure it runs well and theres no humming or tapping
Make sure the tranny shifts well and such
Theres a few tips but really theres no total list of everything that could be wrong...
Best you can do is take it to a mechanic you trust and have them once it over before you buy

Take pics and post up, there are some around here to help. Not saying it is or isn't but, I remember a post a while back when a young man bought what he thought was a Denali, but it turns out, the previous owner put a Denali front end and maybe some other pieces. In the end I can't remember if we got a straight answer on if the seller actually said it was a Denali or the young man assumed, but either way; Buyer beware. Not that the reg Yukons aren't nice, but you gotta make sure you are getting what you pay for.
