So, after my truck battery died on me twice. I charger her up on a trickle all day. And she has been fine since. But in this cold weather i noticed the first initial crank is fine, but once it actually turning over it kind of hesitates. But starts up fine and runs fine. All happens in that split second of startup so..its hard to explain. But i guess a easy way to explain is, When you turn the truck over , the first initial Puff of exhaust that pushes out is about the same time that the truck kind of hesitates then runs fine.

Bad cell in the battery. If the truck is not turning over fast enough the fuel is still dumping as supposed to so you can almost foul a plug of sorts. The truck needs to turn over at a determined rate to time properly

how old is the battery? Try changing the battery and see if it still does it.
