I have a 1998 Yukon with 285 75 17's and am looking to put some spacers on her. I searched on line and there are many to choose from. So I was wanting to get you guys' feed back on wich you like/use. I'd like to get tires out about 2".

They are all basically the same but I think with 2" spacers itll be really ******* your bearings, ball joints and all that stuff.... You'll have to get the front end aligned too

Thanks Bigbody....I wasn't even thinking about all of that. Maybe I'll just leave her the way she is for now. It's not like I beat her up off road or anything....was just thinking about the wide stance look. Thanks again for the input.

He would just have 1" spacers on each side, but its still harder on everything than stock. It's not how I would go about widening my hoe, but it is definitely the most cost effective in the short run.

I'm most likely going to get some 1" spacers when I get new tires and get the front aligned. You can most likely get away with 1" without an alignment but I'm 80% sure a 2" will cause the inside of your tread to wear. 2" is too much in my opinion, you'll be throwing rocks and dirt all down the side of ur truck

2" spacers will be fine. One thing to check though is if your tires are going to clear with them sticking out 2" farther.

If its aligned right to begin with then he won't need an alignment after spacers.

Your changing the Camber/toe angle because your putting the tires farther out which in turn loads up your suspension more, in addition to putting more strain on all your suspension components.... Why wouldn't you need to get it aligned?

He already has 34x11.5s on it the 2" spacers won't make much of a difference for the average person at that point as far as the suspension and steering goes.

I've never heard of needing an alignment after wheel spacers? Why would it change the camber and toe? The spacers just add width.

Your changing the geometry of the suspension moving the centerline of the wheel out. It might not be enought to need an alignment, I've never checked alignment before and after. But in my head by moving the center line of the wheel your changing the radius at which the wheel moves. If its farther out your putting more leverage on the suspension which would cause it to be negative camber just like if you had added weight over your front wheels on the vehicle causing it to squat

From what I've found online it says it's not necessary but it's a good idea to check alignment prior and after...
