where did you buy your HD hood?

im wondering where you have bought your hd hood and how is the quality and price of it? lmc truck has it for 399 i believe and ive also seen it around other places for that price but how do they hold up?
im thinking about selling my two 15 inch dc audio level 3s in custom box so i can get my hood im getting alittle tired of soo much bass plus the extra weight jaja really brings down my mpgs..i will make a new smaller box for a 10 inch sub in the factory sub location..
so i want to know the best place to get it..also im decided on doing a two tone paint but want some other peoples opinions..just like the one in the picture but the raised part of the hood in black and the rest in pewter like the rest of the truck..i havent seen it other than this truck and i think it looks pretty bad ass..what do you guys think?

and i picked mine up on craigslist for 175, already white like mine is, just scope craigslist, search hd hood or chevy2500 or something along those lines

im in denver, Co actually i saw a 2001 silverado HD being sold for parts i called two days after the post was made and the hood and grille were gone..i asked how much did he sell them for he said the hood was sold for 85 and the grille asembly for 65 grrr!!

I bought my hd hood aftermarket. I believe it might have been certifit, i just dont remember. Oem is the way to go though. Fitment and gaps are a little off on mine. Overall i am happy with it, but it would look much better if the gaps/lines were better.

how bad are your gaps? can you show some pics of the sides to see how the gaps look?

Also, when building a 71 C10 truck, we ordered a lot of parts from LMC. Fitting was bad on a lot of those parts as well.
