Where to buy torsion bars...

Needing new torsion bars but can't find them ANYWHERE! Really don't want used parts, defeats the purpose. Any ideas?

Thinking about doing the same when I finish rebuilding my Escalade's suspension. I think this is pretty much going to be a dealer item. Other than a used one out of a salvage yard (I feel the same as you about used here), I don't think you're going to find an aftermarket replacement.

Do torsion bars never go bad?

I've always had coil springs or leaf springs (back in the old days), and those did eventually need replacement due to sagging.

I've just about finished rebuilding the front and rear suspension on my Escalade and the ride is still way too soft in the front, only on what feels like the passenger side on the uneven roads I drive.

I'm a little torn as to just crank them up a bit using the lift keys I bought, or wondering if I should just install new bars since I need to remove everything anyway to replace the lower control arms.

They theoretically could lose some of their "spring". Odds of anyone wearing a set out before the vehicle is in the junkyard? Slim to none.

They rarely go bad.

Then let's consider this.....if they aren't readily available new, either OEM or not, suppose there is a reason for that???? If there is money to be made, there is somebody to make it. There is no market because they don't go bad.

I considered that for the simple reason you stated, they aren't readily available new.

Maybe when I replace the control arms I'll see something apparent causing my bad ride. At 90K miles I suspect the bushings and ball joints are pretty worn. It does feel spongy though, even with new shocks.

Mine has no more adjustment on the drivers side and the ride is really soft on that side and sagging down.

What else can I do? I'm from Scotland so no one here has the same knowledge as you guys so I'm desperately asking for your help here.
What are my options? I just assumed I had to buy new torsion bars but a few are saying it won't be, so what is the issue?

2" leveling keys

I'd consider a set of 2" lift/leveling keys. Since our trucks & suvs develop the GM lean over the years a change in torsion bar key will re-index the bar giving you some adjustment back.

What kind of shock are you using? While I think the keys are your best bet you could compliment it with a stiffer shock choice.
