My grandparents old house was built in the 70s. They parked a 80s Crown Vic wagon in there and still had room enough in front for a fridge and walking room in front and back. They could've fit two more cars in it.

Builders today build the minimal depth garage for code. They shave costs left and right. You have to step up to the better homes and builders to get a good deep wide garage that is worth a damn.
Builder we are looking at only does wide deep 2 car or 3 car garages.
My parents garage is 35 feet deep, 2 car but seperate 9x12 doors with a 15x15 side work shop area. Room to actualy move around.
