actually true, not saying base is safe but high are worse when it comes to hearing damage
it all is equally unsafe, what builds pressure inside the cabin, trust me, it's not a tweeter playing 20K. All of it plays a part, subs, which causes the most lower frequencies, and pressure on the eardrum is also just as unsafe. You could sit in a truck like that, even with no tweeters/mids playing and rupture an eardrum.

All is unsafe, just don't want it out that really bass is 'safe' or safer is all.

Damage is directly related to dB.. regardless of the frequency.

Sit in that truck for 2 minutes, or come work out on the flight deck with me for 8 hours.. get exposed to enough dB for enough time.. you're f*ck'd

You need to stop now then. TRUST ME... I've been doing car stereo for 12 years (6 professionally) and my hearing is screwed. I kept going louder and bigger. My left ear would go funny every once in a while, but I just blew it off. Then, it bled. Then, my left ear started to amplify the bass coming in to it. Just the regular radio and stock speakers would be too much bass for it and I would have to turn the bass off (all the way down) for about 3 days until it went back to normal. Even someone talking to me would sound funny because the low tones in their voice would be overkill. Still to this day, if I play a stereo loud for even a few minutes, this happens. It also happens when I get sick (like a cold or something)

It really sucks and I wish I wouldn't have been so naive when I was young and dumb...
oh man i better stop too then, ive been doing stereos and having loud ones in my ride since i was like 13 when i put one in my moms car and then had stupid loud ones is my rides since i could get a license and im 21 now still going bigger... i guess the elders were right again...

Exactly why I've gone more to a quality system as opposed to a loud system. Dynamat, audio processor, surround sound, dolby etc...
I've def. lost some hearing, not only from my car but from clubs. When you walk out of a building and everything seems to be at lower volume, and there is a slight ringing in the background...you know you did some damage
