Is that Type R a shallow mount?
I have a Polk MM in a thunderform box running off an Alpine amp @550 watts and it sounds pretty good. No rattles..I hate rattles.
There's a door chime module that comes with the GMOS I believe so you can keep the chimes.

You will want to get the parking brake over ride as it is not as easy as just grounding or giving it a 12v+ signal.

Yes it is.

Have done it 3 times myself, with the initial install, and twice after having all of my shit stolen. Ground it to the chassis beneath the steering column to an existing bolt.

This works on jvc and kenwood I believe, but pioneer and alpine sometimes it works sometimes you need the module. Some you have to wire a switch to it and do it manually so the radio thinks the parking brake engages and releases. It varies by brand and even models which needs to be done.

Gotcha, direct ground worked for me with Kenwood DDX470, Kenwood DDX790, and Sony XAV-701HD

OK so some of my stuff has been ordered and some of it has arrived. I got the radio antenna adapter, the dash install kit, the gsm-04, and the steering wheel control adapter. Waiting on the parking brake override thing and the Alpine ICS-X7HD headunit itself. I have a question about the XM adapter I got (Sxv-200v1), the antenna plugs into the box thing and a wire runs from it to my aftermarket radio... Does the factory antenna wire have the same end on it to plug into the box so I don't have to pull the headliner down and run the new receiver up to the roof?
