Ive got 5% on the Hoe right now. Nothing on the windshield. 15% on the ladies ride. I like them both but mine is definitely darker.

The factory tint is 20% IIRC, if you want it to match then put 20% on the front windows and wont tell the slight difference.

I did the 3m 20% on the fronts of my Z71 and it's almost a perfect match. I don't think I would like anything darker. In addition, I also did 20% on the sunroof just to darken it up a bit....probably should have gone a bit darker but I can live with it.:)

keep in mind that when adding 5% to your rear windows it will be more like 3-4% but again I would just talk to the tint shop.

That sounds right because they put 15% over my rear factory windows to equal 5% (which is what I got in the front).

I've heard that tinting the sunroof glass can result in it cracking... something about the glass not being able to handle the extra heat which results from tint being applied.

I just got a quote today. Was planning on just doing the front two to match. They suggest doing 50% over the stock and 15% on the front two. They said the "smoke" on the stock glass does not stop UV. Said doing it this way would reduce heat and UV.

Sound right to you guys? I know nothing about window tint & and this is one of the better know local places telling me this.

Btw price was $149 for front two. Said they would do the whole Yulon XL for $249. This is their middle grade stuff with lifetime warranty.

I've heard that also. I would take that off just to be safe.

I'd take it off. Window film can cause the glass to get so hot it will break. I've known people to tint it, and it's been fine. But I've also seen a car that it did pop on.

I say you just go 18% over the back instead of 50%.
