I bought this Yukon XL in had this style window visors . These are brittle and cracked up. So I got set of new chrome ones in channel. I went to take old ones off and there like stuck or glued to that little flap inside the window channel . Has anyone dealt with these before ? e6a9e77f97b12bd570f75e7b8617dd48.jpg

Yes. Those are in channels. They're "glued" or taped in. Best bet is probably a heat gun, some goo gone, and patience.

Is there an advantage of one style over another? Mine are on the outside.

I’ve had both, but personally prefer the WeatherTech or any of the in channel ones, you can remove and install them in a matter of minutes if needed, beats dealing with the tape and all that of the ones that install on the outside

I have the Weathertech 'inside-fit' rain guards. The Yukon window rubber it "a concave" shape. Sliding the rain guard up inside...... there is not a lot of rubber material to "grip" the plastic edge.
Lowering the window causes the rain guard to fall a bit and sometimes vibrate.
After looking at it for a while, I came up with a solution.
Vacuum rubber tubing, inside the empty space holds it pretty good. More grip.

The rear windows have a metal clip to hold the rain guard in place, came with Weathertech.
They didn't come up with a solution for the slipping front window, so I found one.
