I returned my first one after 6 months, was pretty cheap... only cost me a lawyer. Second one was a keeper, 17 yrs and still runs good, gotta tune her up every so often though...

Mac and SnapOn did the same with the plastic pry tools sold at HFDamn, same patent number and all. I wonder if MAC removes the slider and offers it as some kind of $14.99 upgrade option.

This was over 10 years ago, that's how I wound up with the wire strippers I recommended. I saw many tools that were re-branded HF and Northern. Just cut out the middle man and bought two of everything if it was a common tool. Of course I'd make my money back and then some when guys in the shop needed one and didn't want to pay 4-5x as much on the truck
