So I was pulling some bushes out of my yard last night and some of them actually stopped the truck from moving. As in I had to actually rock the truck in reverse to get them out. I have the 5.3 with AWD and it was almost ridiculus. It would hit about 1900 RPMs and just stop. The tires would spin a little and then the awd and locker kicked in and the truck would just not move. I just sat there sounding like a really big fan. And yes i took off the T/C. So any way just a thought to see if I was the only one or if others had the same thing happen.

When I read this I thought about the time I had to pull my daily driver home all the way across down with a tow rope. It was like pulling a hot wheels car behind my truck....that must have been a strong ass weed. :)

It was bad felt like the truck had no power. I do pull a boat, and it has no problems with that. Just no power when trying to pull the bush out in reverse.

I have pulled some big bushes out and didnt have any problems. But 4 wheel low helps. Did have some trouble trying to pull a tree out though. Were you on grass trying to do this?

Why were you doing it in reverse anyways?

Lower gear. Thats what I Do. I Put a couple straps on the tow hooks and throw it in R in 4 hi. If its a deep rut or log it goes in Low. No trouble, Now I dont have stabilitrak which I read you cant turn that off 100%. So that may have been the difference. Or the fact im using a true 4x4 and you have AWD.

I dont know I could have put it in 4 low but didnt think I should have had to do that. I was on grass the tires wouldnt even spin. Well they turned once or twice then the locker kicked in and that was it. I was just like the truck would not get the rpm's up maybe it was the "abuse mode " kicking in. if that even happens in reverse.
