Nope, that's a few years old. I'll snap some pics when it's not raining and I wash it sometime this week. Waited the two months then put two coats of wax on it.

Brian, yours may be in better shape the mine does you hood look like this:
It does not look like it. If you are not to bothered with it just handle the rust for now. And save some money for later for a good paint. My roof is the same way but it can wait till everything else is done.
Mine does- same black as well. Oxidation in the vent lines on the hood, and just in front of the windshield...also on the roof lines a bit. I don't even notice it, but I will probably try to clean up after winter. As for OP, I think yours looks great, but beauty's in the eye of the beholder.
