Too bad it slipped away. But as said before, as long as it was well cared for mileage is just a number. My work truck I drive regularly is a '98 dodge ext cab dually w/ a cummins. Reprogrammed to 370hp & 900lbs of torque, and she's fitted with a U.S. Gear overdrive auxiliary tranny making her a 10spd. My boss bought it new, drove it until it hit 300,000 miles then I got it. Currently she has 348,000 on her. She may not be the prettiest girl at the ball but I wouldn't be afraid to take her anywhere.

Ok so if we are talking about high mileage here I feel obligated to say we bought our 2000 Toyota landcruiser brand new with 200 miles and it just turn 385,000 miles last week. All completely original. Engine, tranny, AC compressor and everything. We literally have only changed the alternator once, two batterys, one leaky AC line, a bunch of tires and some shocks, and one minor bearing. Other than that just routine maintenance. Really a work of wonder... The tranmission still shifts firmly (always been a hard kinda slam shifting tranny). And the engine is so damn quiet we still accidently hit the starter because you can't hear or feel it running at all. Really an amazing truck. The AC is cold enough to make my nipples cut glass. And we really have beat the shit out of it over the last 13 years, just keeps going and going
