And the Nuance leather, AutoRide, 6 speed transmission, woodgrain upgrade, woodgrain steering wheel, esky roof rack/running boards, leather shifter... you know... half the stuff you've already added lol

Anyhoot ... in the op I was actually trying to focus m0ar on the engine/performance comparison tween the nali and the slt.

AJ you must have 'feather foot' ... I'm lucky if I squeak by at 12mpg in the city.

Very light foot! I coast a lot tire pressure about 2 psi higher and rear row out.
It can be done. I played the otherday ans was agressive for about 20 miles in city, got 14.5. But i cant believevpeople drive that way. But it is fun!

I just bought a Yukon SLT with remote start and some of the other options but one annoying thing is that it didn't come with a steering wheel button for Bluetooth phone capability. It's just a mute/OnStar button without the phone icon. Does anybody here know if I were to buy another steering wheel (seen a lot on eBay) that has the Bluetooth button what else would I need to make it work?

I regularly drive a 5.3 suburban. I recently purchased a Denali mainly for the extra power. My burb would work to maintain 55 MPH towing a full sized car (Grand Prix) up steep hills (not quite mountains), so I wanted a bit more 'oomph'. In addition to the added torque, my Denali gets a bit more (15.5 vs. 14.6) MPG when driving the same route to work each day.

I think both motors are fantastic! If I had not found the Denali I would have picked up a LTZ and put a maggie (1900 or 2300) on it, getting the same or better (slightly) performance out of it.

Off topic, but I still don't understand why the HD trucks get the 6.0 and the SUVs get the 6.2...<shrug>

It's all about how much of a car problem you have to your options ratio. I have 4 kids and my oldest is almost 6. I need the captains chairs and a SUV so a SLT would suffice. However, I have a car problem. The Denali serves a family purpose while satisfying my gear head needs. My closest race track is Cecil County MD which is a good 600+ ft below sea level on colder days which counts me in for a Denali or Escalade running 14 sec times slips untouched. That matters to a small fraction of people but I am one of those people. It's just an epic SUV along with the Escalade. It's just a raw truck but refined to the average eye. It makes me tingle each time I start it and accelerate which is priceless when it comes to comparing other Yukon models.
