I just changed the radiator. It cracked right under the upper hose neck. Those damn Gm hose clamps took forever to get off. It happened a little while after picking it up at the shop.

You need a pair of these hose clamp pliers. They ratchet closed so you just crank them down and the clamp stays open, and then you can relax and move the clamp where you need to. Easy peasy. Ebay $12 for a set.

Has first, goes to 2nd and that's it. Whines like crazy. Think it could be a solenoid? Reverse works, but the fluid is a little burned, it's a little brown, doesn't really smell bad tho. Solenoid or trans? Anybody?

I can't remember, but it had all new fluid in it, twice within a few months

I don't think the filter has been changed.

I don't know shit about trannies but Im hoping it doesn't need a rebuild. Not good though. Sorry Tony.

Thx Red. I think it's gonna need a rebuild. I knew it was just a matter of time before it happened. Of course it has to happen on a holiday weekend.
